Can you share what your yearly income is and what you pay each month for your home? By monthly payment, I mean your mortgage, property taxes, homeowners association fees, and insurances. Please don’t include costs like internet, water, sewer, or trash.

I’m in a similar situation. Our household income is $160k before any bonuses, but I earn $100k and the house is just in my name. Our house cost $407k and we pay $3300 a month.
We have a dual income of $170k and a home loan of $225k, with monthly payments of $1589 at a 3% interest rate. This includes all escrow payments.
Our combined annual income is $310k. We pay $8.5k monthly at a 7.5% interest rate.

When did you lock in your interest rate?

How long have you been making these payments? Is it still manageable with your income?
We’re meeting with a builder next week. The house will cost $420,000, and the monthly payment will be just over $3200. I earn $100k with no debts, and she makes $85k.

We’re undecided right now. We’re currently renting a very small place for $800 a month. I invest $3500 a month, so if my partner were to lose her income, we’d have to halve our investments.
@Riley
With $3500 a month going into investments, I think you should consider buying.
I’m a welder and I also sell things on eBay. This year I made $55K in total. My mortgage payment is $1,080 a month. I just started this journey and am making my second mortgage payment.

Great start! It’ll get easier every year now.
Our monthly income averages around $17.2k, but bonuses can skew the yearly total. Our mortgage is currently $3150 a month at a 3.99% rate.
We make $800k a year. Our monthly mortgage payments total $12k across three homes, with two of them rented out covering their mortgages. We just bought a lot by a lake where we’re building a house for about $2.5M. We plan to put down between $750k and $1M, so our monthly payment will be around $14-15k, including taxes and insurance.
Our income is $300k, including base pay and additional bonuses and stock. Our monthly mortgage payment is $5620, covering insurance and taxes.
We earn between $130k and $140k. Our 30-year mortgage has us paying $1550 monthly on a $250k home.
I make $138k, but after deductions, it’s less. Our mortgage, property taxes, and insurance (PITI) costs us $3500 monthly.
Our combined income is $172k. We have a $420k house with a monthly mortgage of $3027.
I make $140k a year and pay $967 monthly for an apartment (not a house).
I earn $130,000 a year and our mortgage is $2,450 a month. My fiancé also contributes to our income.
