I have been trying for the last 3 hours to reach someone at Mr. Cooper, but all I encounter is a frustrating phone system that sends me in endless circles. Does anyone have a method or secret on how to actually speak to a human at this mortgage company?
Today might be particularly tough to get in touch with anyone as it’s a Friday afternoon in late December. Many are likely using their vacation days, so staffing could be low.
I usually try reaching them via email; I find it more reliable than their phone system.
Oh great, they just bought my mortgage. I haven’t had to call them yet but wish you the best of luck in reaching them.
I used the automated system to check on my escrow payments and it confirmed that my property taxes and homeowner’s insurance were funded.
You might try requesting an ‘escrow analysis’ through the automated system. It’s worked for me when I needed to pay off escrow deficits.
I’ve had Mr. Cooper as a servicer for years without any issues. They’ve always been very responsive for me.
I’ve found that their online chat is more effective than trying to call.
Getting through on the phone can be challenging. I recommend handling as much as you can online to avoid the phone tree.
I’ve been with them for over a decade and calling has always worked for me. Maybe try different times of the day?
It’s been tough for me as well. Their service hasn’t been great, especially with issues around incorrect mortgage payments and long wait times on calls.
